Main purpose and scope of the job
- Responsible for the set-up, development and operational management of all aspects of accommodation services, children services and community-based services/group work.
- To ensure staff are skilled in the provision of advice on welfare rights and related issues such asemployment and immigration and any other legislation as it is related to women, children, youngpeople and men who have been impacted by abuse. To ensure key work staff assess thebenefit/income requirements of the clients and ensure prompt income maximisation
- To attend service user consultation and seek feedback from clients. To ensure that staff make these meetings engaging and well used as a feedback and communication channel with clients. To gain the views of clients to ensure that they are able to say if they are dissatisfied with their support or the organisation
- Complete monitoring and financial returns required by funders/commissioners. To also presentreports, statistics, updates on staffing, case studies etc to the Senior Leadership Team and/or Board of Trustees as and when required.
- Working with the Senior Leadership Team to identify, plan and manage new developments andcontribute to the Business Plan and funding applications.
- To support the Deputy Service Managers/support staff to take appropriate action in relation to any concerns regarding the safety of clients, including possible breaches of licence agreement, house rules or premises security
- To participate in the on-call rota.
