Location: 8 Derwent Square, Liverpool, L13 6QT (please note that this is a community based role, this would be a base location when needed)Working Hours: Part-time 18.5 hours per week, worked over 2.5 days between Monday-Friday (days to be confirmed at interview stage).Contract Type: PermanentSalary: £35,520 - £51,060 per annum (pro rata)

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join Our Time as a part-time Service Manager, to manage the day‐to‐day running of the service in Liverpool, which aims to tackle the social isolation faced by adults with mental health problems.

As well as ensuring the quality of service and support provided to people who use our services, we’ll rely on you to manage service contracts, line manage front line staff and organise any building maintenance requirements.

Whether you’re carrying out an induction, undertaking an investigation, putting team development plans in place or providing support to our business development team, one thing’s for sure – you won't be short of challenge and variety.

Duties will include the following;

  • Manage the day to day running of the service/ location(s) to provide recovery focused delivery.
  • Manage the quality and support provided to people using services in line with Waythrough service models.
  • Work in partnership with NHS colleagues in the team meeting the required outcomes for the contract whilst maintaining Waythrough’s identity and ethos.
  • Ensure operational KPI’s on people using services, outcomes, utilisation and voids, etc., are met.
  • Ensure data entry to Management Information & reporting systems is accurate, timely and in line with quality assurance requirements.
  • Prepare information and reports for internal and/or external use.
  • Lead on positive risk management practice within the service/location(s).
  • Directly line manages conduct and performance of front-line staff in line with Waythrough’s policies and the Leadership and Management Competency Framework.
  • Be accountable for induction and probationary processes of direct reports.
  • Manage the day-to-day rota and resourcing for the service/location(s).
  • Manage sickness absence in line with Waythrough’s policies and procedures.
  • Set and manage the cost center budget, ensuring income and expenditure is within the agreed limits and ensure appropriate financial procedures are followed.
  • Ensure team development plans are in place, delivered and reviewed in line with location/service, area, organisational and individual needs. Keeping abreast of mandatory training deadlines and ensuring staff are completing within the relevant timeframes.

About you:

  • Management qualification (minimum level 3) or working towards/willing to undertake a qualification.
  • Ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff and delegate work appropriately .
  • Experience of managing and delivering high quality and effective support services to achieve outcomes and key performance indicators.
  • Experience of liaising with Commissioners / stakeholders and representing the employing organisation and their services positively.
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in managing budgets.
  • Significant understanding of Mental Health Issues.
  • Able to demonstrate resilience to deliver service outcomes and maintain well being.
  • Ability to provide direction, ownership and engagement to support performance .
  • Resourceful and flexible to deliver service outcomes and KPIs.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities on time.
