About the role

Help us create a truly inclusive volunteering culture.

Volunteers are at the heart of what we do and are fundamental to us delivering our strategic goal to reach more unpaid carers. We believe they should feel just as much a part of our organisation as our employees.

Following a successful funding application focussed on investing in our volunteer culture, Caring Together Charity are now looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Volunteer Manager to lead the development of an ambitious volunteering programme that attracts, supports and retains a diverse community of volunteers whilst embedding volunteering across every part of our organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to build the strategy, help shape our culture and also be integral to operational delivery. You’ll develop our volunteering offer, strengthen recruitment pipelines, build relationships across our communities and support managers and teams to create meaningful volunteer experiences where everyone feels welcomed, valued and included.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the development and delivery of our volunteering strategy.
  • Creating innovative approaches to attract and recruit volunteers from diverse communities.
  • Supporting managers and Link Supervisors to confidently recruit, develop and retain volunteers.
  • Championing an inclusive culture where volunteers are recognised as an integral part of our workforce.
  • Developing partnerships that increase volunteering opportunities and community engagement.
  • Using data and feedback to continually improve the volunteer experience.

About you

You’ll have experience of developing volunteering, workforce or community programmes and be confident influencing people at all levels of an organisation.

You’re passionate about inclusion, enjoy building relationships and have the drive to turn ideas into action. You’ll be equally comfortable thinking strategically and delivering operational solutions that make a real difference.

Why join us?

  • Hybrid working with flexibility to work from home.
  • A flexible working culture.
  • Competitive salary.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Referral scheme.
  • Wellbeing Programme.
  • Paid carers’ leave.
  • Development opportunities.

You will be joining an incredibly dedicated, vibrant and talented team of people, who are deeply passionate about care services which improve people’s lives.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of volunteering within our organisation and make a lasting impact on our people, our communities and the unpaid carers we support.

If you believe volunteering has the power to transform lives and that volunteers should be valued as equal members of the team, we’d love to hear from you.
