About the role

The Senior Trusts & Foundations Manager will further develop and lead the Trusts & Foundations strategy. They will manage and grow a portfolio of 30-40 supporters and prospects, working closely with senior colleagues and senior volunteers to secure and grow support for the breadth of English National Ballet’s work, including our artistic and engagement programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident relationship-builder and persuasive writer to shape an impactful fundraising strategy that will enable English National Ballet to realise our ambitions on and off the stage.

Your main

responsibilities as

Senior Trusts and Foundations Managerwill include:

  • Further develop the existing Trusts & Foundations (T&F) strategy and lead on the pipeline development in line with income targets.
  • In managing a portfolio of T&F supporters and prospects, develop a bespoke strategy for each, and create and deliver solicitation and stewardship plans that reflect these strategies and build long-term partnerships.
  • Manage the T&F function, to ensure the income stream achieves its income target and steady annual growth, with a focus on securing multi-year, six-figure contributions.
  • Work with the wider Development team to manage a programme of events to maintain dialogue with prospects and supporters, with responsibility for stewarding the T&F portfolio at events.
  • Make targeted applications to T&F in line with the agreed strategy.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience of T&F fundraising, with a track record of securing six-figure support.
  • Track record of pipeline development and growing income in the cultural, higher education or third sector, with a particular understanding of the UK landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop workplans, collaborate with senior colleagues and volunteers, build and manage pipelines, and meet targets through rigorous monitoring and evaluation.
  • Outstanding networking skills and the ability to represent ENB at the highest level at events and stakeholder meetings.
  • A good understanding of organisational planning and ability to work with and interpret financial information, budgets and accounts.
  • Ability to draft and deliver high quality and compelling funding proposals, reports and correspondence.
