Senior Residential Support Worker
Help build a home where children feel safe, heard, valued and able to thrive
At CCP, we believe every child deserves more than a place to stay. They deserve a home where they are safe, understood, listened to and supported to build a hopeful future.
In partnership with Swindon Borough Council, we are developing children's homes that provide compassionate, trauma-informed and person-centred residential care. This is an opportunity to help shape a new home from the beginning, creating a culture where relationships, dignity and consistency sit at the heart of daily life.
We are looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker who shares these values and wants to make a lasting difference. Working alongside our Responsible Individual, Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will help build a home where children can remain connected to their local community, support networks and the people who matter to them.
Our values in action
This role is about leading with care, integrity and purpose. As Senior Residential Support Worker, you will help create a home where children are treated with respect, where their voices influence decisions, and where every interaction is an opportunity to build trust, confidence and belonging.
How you will make a difference
• Creating a safe, nurturing and consistent home environment for children and young people
• Building trusting relationships that help children feel heard, respected and valued
• Supporting children with their day-to-day care, routines, learning and personal development
• Being a positive role model for children and for colleagues across the team
• Championing children's voices and ensuring they are central to decisions about their lives and care
• Helping the home deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care in line with Ofsted Quality Standards
• Providing visible, accountable and values-led leadership alongside the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager
What you will bring
You will bring compassion, resilience and a strong belief in the potential of every child. You will understand that good care is built through relationships, consistency and trust, and you will be confident supporting both children and colleagues with empathy and professionalism.
We would love to hear from people who can demonstrate:
• Experience working with children, young people and families
• A strong understanding of contextual safeguarding and relationship-based practice
• Good knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
• Flexibility, patience and confidence in responding to the changing needs of children and young people
• A relevant qualification in Residential Childcare and a commitment to ongoing professional development
• A full UK driving licence and access to their own transport
Why this role matters
No two days will be the same, but every day will be rooted in purpose. You will be part of building something meaningful from the ground up: a home where children can experience stability, care and hope, and where your values will help shape the culture from day one.
