Our Vacancy

As a Senior Project Manager focused on business and service transformation, you’ll play a major role in driving meaningful change across Peabody.

You’ll lead complex projects that make a real difference to our customers and colleagues, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and with clear, lasting impact. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll translate business needs into practical, deliverable plans and create the right conditions for successful, sustainable change. You’ll oversee planning, governance, delivery, risk management and business readiness, ensuring change is clearly understood, well implemented and able to achieve its full potential.

While the primary focus of this role is project delivery, a flexible and hands-on approach is essential. There will be times where you step beyond formal project structures to support the business — whether that’s partnering on continuous improvement activity, bringing clarity to evolving BAU change, or supporting insight, problem-solving and performance where it’s needed most.

About you
You’re an experienced Senior Project Manager who brings confidence, clarity and calm to complex situations. You build strong relationships quickly, communicate clearly and collaborate naturally. Customer-centred and analytical, you adapt your approach when needed and have a track record of delivering complex change at a high standard. You’re someone who supports others to excel and keeps people focused on what truly matters.

You’re a proactive, people-centred leader who thrives in ambiguity. You ask the right questions, listen carefully to understand the real issue and shape solutions that work in practice. You bring a test-and-learn mindset and aren’t afraid to challenge constructively when it’s needed. Values-driven and grounded, you stand alongside the business, support decision-making and help guide teams through uncertainty. You bring energy, momentum and a can-do attitude that inspires confidence.

How you’ll make a difference

You will deliver complex projects to agreed scope, time and cost, ensuring benefits are clearly defined, measured and tracked, and that changes are effectively embedded. You’ll lead planning, communications and business readiness activity, identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies, and provide clear governance, reporting and structured oversight.

You’ll lead and support multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring the right people are engaged and resources are well used. Working closely with operational managers, you’ll help them navigate decisions, embed new ways of working and deliver long-term improvements for colleagues and residents.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience leading complex, multi‑workstream organisational change projects — from strategic design through to operational delivery - including setting clear outcomes, defining and tracking measurable benefits.
  • Experience leading multi‑disciplinary project teams (e.g. Business Analysts, Business Change Managers, SMEs and Workstream Leads) with clear evidence of creating high‑performing team environments.
  • Experience delivering organisational change in a multi‑stakeholder environment, managing differing priorities and ensuring alignment across different teams and functions.
  • Strong relationship‑building and interpersonal skills, with experience influencing at both operational and strategic levels, constructively challenging thinking and facilitating decision‑making in complex environments.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in ambiguous and fast‑changing environments — making progress with incomplete information, shaping direction where clarity is lacking, and supporting others to stay confident and focused without rigid structure.
  • A proactive and curious approach, with experience diagnosing real business problems, engaging stakeholders in co-designing solutions and applying a test-and-learn mindset to improve outcomes.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including experience producing clear documentation, briefings and business cases, and presenting confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • A values‑led approach and a strong commitment to improving the experience of customers and colleagues.
  • Practical knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques, applied flexibly rather than rigidly. Project management qualifications (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, Agile PM) are desirable.
