The vacancy

About the role

As a Senior Programme Officer within the Workforce Supply. Employment Practice and Regulation team you will:

  • Support delivery plans and programme reporting, working collaboratively to deliver agreed outcomes on time.

  • Analyse intelligence, trends and research to inform NHS strategic decision-making.

  • Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships, using collaboration and engagement to shape programme delivery and represent the employer perspective.

  • Manage networks and resources that support the work programme, promoting good practice and helping address key challenges.

  • Support programme evaluation, using feedback to adapt delivery to commissioner and employer needs.

Whilst this post can only be guaranteed until the end of January it will provide exposure to national workforce policy, programme delivery and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience working on high-profile NHS priorities, supporting professional networks and help develop skills that will support future career progression across the health and public sectors.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate experience of:

  • Understanding of education, regulation and reform in the NHS and key issues facing healthcare providers.

  • Driving work independently, working to tight deadlines and managing conflicting priorities.

  • Producing written briefings, reports and webpage content.

  • Engagement, facilitation and delivering presentations.

  • Evaluating activity to demonstrate impact.

  • Maintaining effective and productive professional working relationships, both within and outside the NHS.
