NOW HIRING: Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships, is a senior corporate fundraising role responsible for growing a portfolio of global corporate partners outside the Rainforest Alliance's core food and beverage sectors. This includes industries such as beauty, technology, pulp and paper, and hospitality amongst others. An important mandate of this role is to lead our corporate unrestricted fundraising strategy, expanding and diversifying mission-based giving from companies and corporate foundations. You will also oversee a portfolio of restricted corporate partnerships, with a primary focus on North America, and leads the development of programmatic funding opportunities aligned with Rainforest Alliance global impact priorities.

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Partnerships, the Senior Manager works with Revenue Operations to analyze market intelligence, prioritize high‑potential corporate segments, and build a pipeline of unrestricted and restricted funding opportunities. You will also cultivate new relationships, design compelling philanthropic value propositions, and improve innovative approaches to corporate giving that strengthen our financial resilience and impact.

This is a global role managing accounts of all sizes, ensuring strategic agreement, value delivery, and long-term partnership growth across all engagements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Partnership Development & Portfolio Management

    • Build and manage a portfolio of corporate accounts outside Rainforest Alliance's core food and beverage sectors, ensuring active cultivation, stewardship, and long-term growth.

    • Expand and diversify the portfolio by entering new industries and identifying segments aligned with Rainforest Alliance's impact programs.

    • Identify and grow new strategic corporate relationships and philanthropy prospects, with a focus on multi-year commitments.

  • Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Development

    • Partner with Revenue Operations to analyze market trends, segment opportunities, and create new funding leads for both restricted and unrestricted revenue.

    • Contribute to the development and management of the Strategic Partnerships pipeline, ensuring accurate prioritization and updates in Salesforce.

  • Value Proposition Design

    • Lead the Rainforest Alliance's corporate unrestricted fundraising strategy, designing and implementing approaches that grow mission-based giving across a diverse global portfolio.

    • Innovate and test new models for corporate mission-based giving, including challenge funds, corporate champions circle, and corporate social impact investments.

    • Develop compelling unrestricted and restricted cases for support and philanthropic offerings tailored to corporate audiences, including corporate foundations, CSR, and sustainability teams.

    • Collaborate with RA's global experts to design standardized pitches, philanthropic offerings, and mission-based materials tailored to corporate audiences.

  • Proposal Leadership

    • Lead the proposal development process for prioritized opportunities, including unrestricted and programmatic funding:

      • Coordinate the full process from concept notes to submission, ensuring delivery and adherence to internal processes.

      • Contribute to project design and ensure agreement on corporate partner interests.

      • Organize and lead internal Go/No-Go decision-making processes.

      • Convene and guide cross-functional proposal teams to ensure strong, donor-aligned submissions.

  • Cross-Organizational Collaboration

    • Work with the programs and commercial portfolios, and Institutional Relations and Individual Giving to identify co-funding opportunities and develop public–private–philanthropic partnerships.

    • Represent the Rainforest Alliance in external meetings, events, and industry convenings.


WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, international development, sustainability, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in corporate fundraising, business development, consultancy, or sustainable development.·

  • Experience securing corporate unrestricted and philanthropic funding, including multi-year commitments.

  • Experience with sustainability, ESG, and market trends; knowledge of conservation, community development, forestry, or agriculture preferred.

  • Experience working in within global organizations; familiarity with agile or lean methodologies preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work diplomatically and cross-culturally with diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is a plus.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion.

Salary:

  • National Salary range (Excluding NY and DC) -$77,112 - $110,146
  • New York Salary Range -$91,606 - $130,866
  • Washington DC Salary Range -$88,666 - $126,667
