This role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working (at our Marylebone office at least every Tuesday and the first Thursday of each month), 28 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and a fantastic pension scheme offering 6% in year one and 11% after this.

About the role

We're searching for an outstanding, digitally-minded senior content writer, to research, write and optimise content about health and wellbeing products and services for Which.co.uk

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create engaging and optimised content across digital and print channels in line with house style and tone of voice, including advice, news, reviews, tools, video, audio, social media, newsletters and blogs, to meet audience needs and deliver on our health and wellbeing content strategy and agreed commercial and impact objectives.
  • Identifying content gaps and developing content ideas with your editor covering all content types needed to achieve our goals and deliver them in collaboration with teams or individually, commissioning or carrying out high quality research as needed. Assists in the wider development and implementation of content strategy as required for specified content areas.
  • Takes ownership of specific topic areas, developing subject expertise, monitoring market and competitor developments and creating and updating digital content to provide our audiences with accurate, up to date, relevant and engaging content.
  • Monitor the performance of content against agreed KPIs, working with editors, product and customer team colleagues to ensure content and user journeys are optimised on an ongoing basis.
  • Consistent delivery of content that is right first time, to brief and to deadline. Produces jargon-free copy that is consumer focused, accessible and easy to read.

About you:

We're looking for someone with sound journalistic skills who can get excited about helping consumers make decisions about health choices and make sense of all the data to recommend the best product, service or treatment for their needs.

  • Proven track record of writing high quality, high reach, successful health and wellbeing content for consumer audiences across digital channels.
  • Excellent insight into consumer health needs and desires, driven by a strong understanding of SEO, market intelligence, digital content and working with and from data.
  • Must be numerate, comfortable with data, and with clear, concise, informative and grammatically correct writing skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident working knowledge of using CMS and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and SEO tools such as SEMRush or similar.
  • Proven content and time management skills, including ability to juggle simultaneous tasks and prioritise own workload

The interview process for this role involves:-

  • One hour interview plus a one hour task to demonstrate your journalistic skills. This will be shared with interview candidates in advance to be completed prior to the interview. If necessary, a second interview may be required.

Interviews are expected to commence from week commencing 22 June.
