About the role
Benefact Group are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join our Gloucester office.
You will play a critical role in safeguarding the organisation's digital assets by engaging with a wide array of business functions to provide security consultancy, vulnerability management and security governance.
In this role you will be engaging with key stakeholders of the business, articulating the real world cyber security risk associated and developing solutions that align with security and project requirements. You will be working with a modern technology stack with a focus towards cloud technologies. As the Senior Cyber Security Consultant, you will be providing mentorship to junior members of the team regarding strategic guidance as well as technical expertise.

What you'll be doing

Supporting Business projects and targeted requests, you will provide subject matter expertise for internal projects and stakeholders, identifying risks and advising on the correct approach to mitigate those risks.

You will have responsibility for Vulnerability Management and Penetration Testing, managing outputs from internal tooling and external vendors in order to prioritise remediation by relevant internal parties in order to ensure the identified risks are mitigated.

You will actively support the development and implementation of ICT Security (and associated) Policies, accompanying Security standards, procedures, guidance and will manage the process for documenting and reporting policy exceptions.

You will lead the delivery of Cyber Security support to the Group Procurement function, overseeing and, in some cases, undertaking detailed third-party due diligence processes.

You will provide mentorship and leadership to more junior members of the Team, fostering an inclusive, supportive and engaged learning environment, being a key contributor to a high performing and professional Security Team.
What you'll need to have

Proven experience providing Cyber Security Analyst services

A strong understanding of enterprise ICT and security principles

A strong understanding of cloud security concepts and technologies

Understanding of the CI/CD process and security integrations

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
What makes you stand out

Degree-level qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience

Audit experience (eg ISO 9001/27001) is desirable
