As Senior Writer, you'll shape the NSPCC's voice across everything we do, leading on strategic writing, messaging and tone of voice to ensure our communications are clear, powerful and consistent.

This role plays a vital part in delivering our communications strategy and supporting the NSPCC's wider goals. You'll contribute by:

  • Developing and evolving our verbal identity across NSPCC and Childline
  • Raising the quality and consistency of writing and ideation across campaigns, channels and audiences
  • Providing expert guidance and mentoring to colleagues to strengthen creative output across the organisation

Your work will help us reach more people, build deeper engagement, and ultimately protect more children.

You'll lead the development of compelling creative across a wide range of projects from integrated campaigns and digital content to film, social and print. Working closely with creative colleagues and teams across the organisation, you'll help shape ideas from concept to delivery, ensuring everything we produce is clear, engaging and on brand. You'll also influence tone of voice, contribute to creative strategy, and support others to create better, more effective communications.

  • Write and oversee copy across multiple channels including digital, social, print and film
  • Develop and embed tone of voice and messaging guidance
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver creative work
  • Pitch ideas and present work confidently to senior stakeholders
  • Mentor and support colleagues to strengthen writing and NSPCC voice across the organisation

You'll be an experienced writer with a strong strategic mindset and the ability to work across a range of formats and audiences. You'll be confident influencing stakeholders and shaping creative work, with a deep understanding of brand, tone of voice and best practice in communications.

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality creative across diverse channels and briefs
  • Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Experience developing brand voice, messaging frameworks or editorial guidelines
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and deadlines
