Schools Engagement Assistant
We are looking for a Schools Engagement Assistant to join the National Theatre's Learning team.
The Schools Engagement Assistant plays a key role in the administration and delivery of a high-quality programme of live and digital events, projects, resources and platforms, working across all educational phases from Primary to further Education. In line with the NT’s Inspire strategy, the programme responds to National Theatre repertoire and theatre practice and is designed to support creative teaching and learning in schools and the Drama and English curriculum.
The Assistant supports the administration and delivery of aspects of the Schools Engagement programme including event delivery, working closely with Project Managers and Coordinators across the programme on the South Bank and nationally as well as on digital platforms and in schools.
The Assistant will help to build strong relationships with schools, education partners and partner theatres to inform the development of the programme and will work closely with the Coordinators and Learning Operations team on all aspects of administration, finance processes and event logistics.
The successful candidates will have the following:
- Administrative experience in a professional organisation
- Experience of working with and communicating with a wide range of external audiences/participants, including schools
- Experience working in an arts organisation (including museum and heritage sector)
- Experience of working with schools and teachers.
- Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks within competing work demands and to meet deadlines
