- Job Summary
St Edward’s Oxford is looking for a well-qualified and experienced Sailing Coach to join the school on a part-time, fixed-term basis from September 2026.
The successful candidate will deliver a minimum of three sailing coaching sessions per week, working with both junior and senior pupils within the Sailing Club. You will drive enthusiasm for sailing across the school, directly supporting pupil progression, team performance and the safeguarding of pupils’ wellbeing.
Applicants will need a valid RYA Dinghy Instructor qualification and bring extensive technical knowledge and tactical strategies of sailing coaching. A current RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification and a valid RYA First Aid qualification, or equivalent, are also essential. You will have experience of coaching individuals and groups across a range of ages and abilities, alongside a background of sailing to a high standard.
This is a part-time, term-time position, working approximately 11.5 hours per week. Flexibility in working hours is required in order to meet the demands of the role and the sailing programme.
