Retail Volunteer Driver

Details

To support the day-to-day Retail operation by servicing the shops. This includes but not limited to, the transferring of donated and new stock from store to store (including from the central hub), removal of general waste from stores, collecting new goods from suppliers and any other relevant ad hoc duties.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Collecting and dropping off donations at Springhill Hospice Retail stores across Rochdale, Middleton and Heywood using the hospice owned van.
• Collecting new goods from suppliers where required.
• Loading and unloading bags and boxes from the vehicle.
• Removing general waste bags from stores.
• Any other relevant ad hoc duties.
• Report all accidents which involve hospice van, volunteers, staff, general public.
• To wear ID badge at all times when representing Springhill Hospice.
• A full clean driving licence is essential.
• You must not drive if you are unwell or have been advised not to drive
• Read and understand relevant policies
• To be read in conjunction with the Volunteer Driver’s Handbook

** This role will include regular lifting of boxes/bags of donations. Health and Safety training will be provided **
