Über den Lehrstuhl
Der Lehrstuhl für Supply Chain und Operations Management betreibt in seinem Feld Spitzenforschung an den Schnittstellen zu Themen der Nachhaltigkeit, Risikomanagement und Digitalisierung. Als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Doktorand in unserem strukturierten Promotionsprogramm (Dr. rer. pol.) werden Sie Teil eines dynamischen Teams, das eng mit Unternehmen und Universitäten auf der ganzen Welt zusammenarbeitet. Die Vergütung erfolgt entsprechend 50 % der regelmäßigen Arbeitszeit nach den Bestimmungen des Tarifvertrags für den öffentlichen Dienst (TVöD). Deutsche oder französische Sprachkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich.

• Sie werden in das strukturierte Berliner Promotionsprogramm der ESCP Business School aufgenommen. Dieses bietet relevante und interessante Kurse, die Sie zu einem Experten in Ihrem Fachgebiet und in verschiedenen Forschungsmethoden machen werden
• Mitarbeit in Lehre und Lehrstuhlmanagement, ohne dass dies zu einer Belastung für Ihre Dissertation wird
• Arbeitsort (Home Office o. Büro am Campus) und Arbeitszeit können nach Absprache flexibel gestaltet werden
• Ein starkes internationales Arbeitsumfeld
• Eine konstruktive und freundliche Atmosphäre mit regelmäßigen Forschungsseminaren, um eine schnelle und erfolgreiche Promotion zu ermöglichen; einschließlich einer engen Zusammenarbeit mit Christian Durach
• Sie werden Teil einer großen Forschungsgemeinschaft sein, die 6 europäische Standorte mit vielen Professoren und anderen Doktoranden umfasst. Intercampus-Mobilität ist möglich
Ihr Profil
• Ein abgeschlossenes oder kurz vor dem Abschluss stehendes Studium im Bereich Management (idealerweise mit Schwerpunkt auf Betrieb, Logistik, Lieferkette, Nachhaltigkeit oder verwandten Themen) und/oder Ökonometrie mit hervorragenden Leistungen
• Ein hohes Maß an Begeisterung für wissenschaftliches Arbeiten
• Erste Kenntnisse in der empirischen Forschung
• Sehr gute englische Sprachkenntnisse
• Ein hohes Maß an Verantwortungsbewusstsein und Engagement

About our Chair
The Chair of Supply Chain and Operations Management focuses on cutting-edge research in the field of supply chain and/or operations management at the interfaces to sustainability, risk management and digitalization. As a research associate and doctoral student in our structured doctoral program (Dr. rer. pol.), you will be part of a dynamic team that works closely with companies and universities around the world. You will be remunerated on the basis of 50% of the standard working hours according to the collective agreement for the public service. German or French language skills are not required.
What to expect
• You will be admitted to the Berlin PhD program at ESCP Business School, with relevant and interesting courses that will make you an expert in your field and in various research methods
• Participation in teaching and chair management without compromising progress on your dissertation
• Work location (home office or office on campus) and working hours can be flexible by arrangement
• A strong international working environment
• A constructive and friendly atmosphere with regular joint research seminars to facilitate a fast and successful PhD; including a close collaboration with Christian Durach
• You will be part of a large research community that includes 6 European campuses with many professors and other PhD students. Inter-campus mobility is possible
Your Profile
• Completed or are about to complete a degree in management (ideally with a focus on operations, logistics, supply chain, sustainability or related subjects) and/or econometrics with outstanding performance
• A high level of enthusiasm for scientific work
• An initial knowledge of empirical research
• Very good English language skills
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment
