Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)
15 hours per week | Fixed-Term Contract (6 months) | Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with relevant mental health experience to join our team at Jubilee Mews, our specialist rehabilitation and recovery service in Gosforth.
Please note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship as it does not meet the requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
About Jubilee Mews:
Jubilee Mews is a specialist rehabilitation and recovery service supporting adults with complex mental health needs to regain independence and move towards living successfully within their communities.
We accept referrals from acute assessment wards, forensic services and prisons, providing person-centred support that empowers people to build skills, confidence and resilience. Our goal is to support individuals to progress into their own accommodation or step-down services when they are ready.

About the role:
As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a key role within our multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support.
You will be responsible for:
- Undertaking comprehensive assessments and contributing to care planning
- Implementing, monitoring and evaluating care and support plans
- Working collaboratively with service users, carers and multidisciplinary professionals
- Promoting recovery, independence and positive risk-taking
- Supporting service users to achieve their goals and transition successfully into community settings
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring safe, effective practice
About you:
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Are an NMC-registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid PIN, or an RNLD with relevant mental health experience
- Are passionate about supporting people with complex mental health needs on their recovery journey
- Have experience of working with individuals who may present with behaviours that challenge
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Take a person-centred approach and recognise the individuality, strengths and aspirations of every person you support
- Can build positive, therapeutic relationships based on trust, empathy and respect
- Understand professional boundaries and safeguarding responsibilities
