Our new 12 - 14-bed service will provide specialist, clinically-led community rehabilitation for people with complex mental health needs, offering 24/7 clinical support in a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment.
We’re now looking for an experienced and values-driven Service Manager to lead this service from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new model of life-changing care and make a lasting difference in people’s recovery journeys.
What you'll do:
As Service Manager, you’ll provide both clinical and operational leadership, ensuring the service delivers safe, effective, and person-centred care in line with CQC and NHS standards. You’ll take ownership of service performance, governance, and quality, inspiring your team to uphold our values and deliver excellence every day.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong clinical leadership and operational management to ensure high-quality, recovery-focused care.
- Overseeing care delivery for residents with complex needs, ensuring personalised, outcomes-based support.
- Leading, motivating, and developing a skilled multidisciplinary team through supervision, coaching, and professional development.
- Embedding a culture of accountability, learning, and wellbeing across the team.
- Managing staffing, budgets, and resources effectively to maintain quality and sustainability.
- Acting as theCQC Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards (including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding).
- Monitoring KPIs and quality metrics, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Working closely with the Operations & Partnerships Director and Head of Nursing Services to provide quality and performance assurance.
- Promoting evidence-based practice and driving innovation in care delivery.
- Responding to audit findings, feedback, and inspections with a proactive improvement mindset.
What you'll bring:
You’ll be a confident, compassionate, and inclusive leader, someone who is motivated by seeing others thrive and delivering meaningful outcomes for people with complex mental health needs.
You will have:
- NMC registration as a Mental Health Professional
- Significant experience supporting people with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours, ideally including transitions from secure care.
- CQC Registered Manager status (or eligibility) and a strong understanding of governance and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams in residential, nursing, or community mental health settings.
- A track record of developing and implementing care pathways that deliver measurable, person-centred outcomes.
- Strong budget management and operational leadership experience.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others.
- Experience managing complaints, maintaining confidentiality, and understanding GDPR.
- A commitment to continuous professional development for yourself and your team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and digital systems.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Case Worker to join our amazing new service which has recently launched. We are looking for resilient, compassionate individuals to work in our new Safe Haven in Ashington.
You will provide a safe and welcoming environment in person and over the phone for all clients, using de-escalation skills, active listening and calm communication. To support the person to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence to withstand future life challenges, whilst maintaining good mental health and wellbeing, and liaising with appropriate services.
About the role
- Co-produce and support the individual to implement a crisis plan, relapse prevention and other self-management tools such as Wellness Recovery Action Plan (wrap), in partnership with the person, maintaining hope and optimism to support the individual in their recovery.
- Provide signposting and guidance, as well as support where appropriate to the person to access services and resources they need. The amount and intensity of this support will vary depending on the person’s needs, mental health and life circumstances to ensure they are supported during their recovery.
- Develop knowledge of the local care pathways and local community knowledge (including cultural sensitivities) to meet service users’ need and support the individual journey.
- Support people to develop lasting, independent peer-support networks beyond the Service to enable them to maintain their recovery.
- Manage documentation and time effectively, ensuring up to date and clear record keeping in line with organisational policies, making best use of supervision, training and staff development. Ensuring up to date and clear record keeping in line with policies.

Case Worker - Hope Haven, Whitehaven
Part-Time, Mon-Sun, hours between 9am - Midnight (shift work involved)
This is a part-time role, contracted at 22.5 hours per week.

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join the team at Hope Haven, a newly established Community Mental Health Support Hub based in Whitehaven, West Cumbria.
These roles are ideally suited to recent graduates in Psychology or Mental Health-related fields seeking to begin their career in mental health support.
About the Service
Hope Haven forms part of a broader partnership between Home Group and Everyturn Mental Health, delivering an integrated Community Mental Health Support Hub. The service will bring together specialist health, social care, and community services at the heart of Whitehaven, supporting local residents with their mental health and wellbeing.
Role Overview
As a Case Worker, you will provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for individuals accessing the service, both in person and by telephone. Using de-escalation techniques, active listening, and compassionate communication, you will support individuals in crisis or emotional distress, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate future life challenges while maintaining good mental health.
This role also involves close liaison with relevant support services, ensuring a holistic and personalised approach to recovery.
Please note: Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be based locally and able to travel throughout the Copeland area as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-produce and support individuals to implement personalised crisis plans, relapse prevention strategies, and self-management tools such as the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
- Provide appropriate signposting, guidance, and support to help individuals access services and resources based on their unique needs and circumstances.
- Develop a strong understanding of local care pathways, community networks, and culturally sensitive practices to inform and enhance support.
- Encourage the development of independent peer-support networks to help individuals sustain long-term recovery beyond the service.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and clear documentation in line with organisational policies, while making proactive use of supervision, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Carry out any additional duties as required to support the ongoing development and success of the service.
About you:
We would love to hear from you if you possess the following:
- Proven experience providing one-to-one support to individuals with complex needs.
- Previous experience working in Health, Social Care, or within the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.
- An understanding of the structure and functions of Health and Social Care systems.
- Knowledge of national and local organisations that promote mental health and wellbeing.
- Awareness of the recovery model in the context of mental health.
- An understanding of the effects of stigma and discrimination.
