Recovery Worker - Melbourne View
Location: 128 Botcherby Avenue Carlisle Cumbria CA1 2TX- This role is based within the community, therefore applicants must hold a driving licence and have own vehicle.
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary:£25,877.80-£30,868.31
Please note: The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

About the role
Melbourne View is a 24 hour supported housing service. The remit of the service is to provide mental health support to 12 residents, within their own self-contained flats. With this being a 24 hour service, The successful applicant will be expected to work a mix of early morning shifts, late shifts and overnight sleep shifts, weekends and public holidays, to ensure the service is fully staffed. Prior experience of supported housing is desirable.There is also the option of overtime within the service, should you desire to pick up extra hours once in post
What you'll do;
Manage and improve their own physical and mental well-being
Develop life-skills including budgeting, money management, tenancy sustainment, access to public services, further education and/or employment and living well in the community
Live more fulfilling lives and develop new meanings and purposes
Take control over their life, through their own choices and decisions
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Ability to respond compassionately to sensitive and complex issues
Able to motivate, support and advocate for people using services
