About Waythrough

Waythrough was formed in 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Together, we’ve created one of the largest mental health and social support charities in England.

Every year, we support around 125,000 people through nearly 200 services – and it’s all made possible by our 3,500 brilliant staff and volunteers.

Make a real difference in your community

About the Role:

As a part-time Recovery Coordinator, you will provide one-to-one support for service users, from brief interventions through to structured treatment, including group work, ensuring that every recovery journey is tailored to individual needs and priorities.

Working as part of the team, you will take a holistic, person-centred approach, ensuring that each service user's care package considers all aspects of their wellbeing, supporting them to achieve the best possible outcomes and safe reintegration into the community. This role is 22.2 hours per week (3 days), with your working pattern agreed with your line manager to meet both your needs and those of the service.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage a caseload, devising, implementing and reviewing ongoing recovery plans and treatment.

  • Carry out triage/screening assessments and comprehensive assessments with service users.

  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions, supporting service users' progression from engagement through to self-sustained recovery.

  • Facilitate service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery capital and social connections.

  • Use the online case management system, SystmOne, to effectively manage recovery planning, safeguarding and risk management processes.

To Succeed in This Role, You'll Need:

  • Experience of holding a caseload.

  • Knowledge and/or experience of substance misuse.

  • Experience supporting vulnerable people whose lives have been affected by alcohol and/or drug use.

  • A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care.
