- About the role
As the first point of contact for our hospice, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience for our patients, visitors and colleagues. You will provide a high standard of customer service by answering calls promptly, professionally and with empathy ensuring enquiries are directed efficiently to the right teams. Through your warm and compassionate approach, you will provide a first-class support service that helps the hospice run smoothly and effectively, contributing to the highest quality care.
You'll be- Answering telephone calls in a calm, sensitive, professional, and confident manner
- Taking messages and ensuring they are passed on accurately and efficiently
- Meeting, greeting and welcoming visitors to the hospice and acting as a point of contact for staff and volunteers
- Issuing visitor and contractor badges
- Providing general administrative support including maintaining the franking machine, photocopying, laminating and disposing of confidential waste
- Managing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
- Responsible for opening and closing reception area
