Are you an experienced educational leader with a passion for driving excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement? We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Officer to work in a unique consultancy role across a cluster of specialist education settings.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence and support high-quality learning and teaching across five respected organisations, working collaboratively to enhance outcomes for children and young people with additional support needs.
About the Role
As a Quality Improvement Officer, you will work strategically with senior leaders to support the identification and delivery of curricular and professional development priorities. You will play a key role in implementing national education initiatives, including Curriculum for Excellence, while ensuring alignment with current policies and standards.
This flexible consultancy role involves working approximately 45 days per year (around 3 days per term in each setting) across the following organisations:
- Stanmore House School (Lanark)
- Mirren Park School (Paisley)
- East Park School (Maryhill)
- Crossreach Waterfront Campus (Erskine)
- Craighalbert Centre (Cumbernauld)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the delivery of the Quality Improvement agenda
- Work closely with Head Teachers to support leadership, self-evaluation, and inspection readiness
- Support School Improvement Planning and Standards & Quality reporting
- Monitor and evaluate school and service performance
- Drive curriculum development and implementation of Curriculum for Excellence
- Promote best practice and effective use of quality indicators
- Support professional learning and development across staff teams
- Contribute to recruitment processes for senior leadership roles
- Provide strategic advice to governing bodies and senior stakeholders

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Significant leadership experience at Depute Head Teacher level or above
- Degree (or equivalent qualification)
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, learning and teaching
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple settings
- High level of IT and data analysis capability
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in education or related field
- Experience in coaching and mentoring approaches
Personal Attributes

- A confident and articulate communicator
- Highly motivated and adaptable
- Skilled in building relationships and networks
- Able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Additional Information
