We’re recruiting Community Living Assistants to join our West of Scotland Housing Support & Care at Home Services, serving customers across Glasgow (G31 & G41) and Renfrewshire (PA4).
What You’ll Do
As a Community Living Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored, person-centred support to adults with a range of disabilities
- Assist with personal care (washing, dressing), medication, communication and meals
- Support daily living routines and help maintain tenancies at home
- Accompany individuals to appointments, social activities, education and community events
- Enable participation in meaningful leisure and recreational pursuits
- Work one-to-one or two-to-one based on individual needs
You’ll help customers live life their way, with dignity, choice, independence and involvement in the life of their community.
About You
We’re looking for people who are:
- Compassionate, flexible and committed to person-centred support
- Experienced in supporting adults with disabilities in community or home settings
- Comfortable working rotational shifts, including evenings, weekends and nights
- Holder of a manual UK driving licence with access to their own car(essential for this community-based work and outings) - mileage expenses are paid.

Delivering over 1700 hours of care services per week. Our days are filled with laughter, with a focus on activities, on-site and externally. About the role – Service Manager
As Service Manager you will have responsibility for managing the service so that the 20 individuals we support, throughout Fife, receive a quality, person-centred experience. You will lead our management team and support our employees, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing budgets and facilities, and drive service development. Key tasks include:
- Managing the referral process and ensuring service delivery meets protocols and customer needs.
- Overseeing staff recruitment, training, performance, rotas, and disciplinary processes.
- Budgetary and financial controls: reviewing accounts, authorising purchase orders, monitoring assets and expenditure.
- Ensuring the facility, transport provisions and service environment support safe and effective delivery.
- Ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are met (e.g., adult/child protection, Care Inspectorate annual returns).
- Promoting and developing the service, seeking new referrals, leading business development and risk assessments.
- Conducting investigations into concerns or complaints, and liaising with relevant authorities when required.
- On-call support – part of 6 person on call rota for 24 hour service.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualification: SVQ 4 Health & Social Care (or equivalent) AND a relevant management qualification.
- Proven leadership experience in a care environment, with strong understanding of service delivery, staff management, budgets and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: you’ll engage with customers, families, social work and local authorities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and promote services, manage change and mitigate risk.
- Comfortable working across a variety of tasks (from operational/administrative to strategic) and dealing with both routine and complex issues.
