Stanmore House Residential acts as both a boarding element to Stanmore House School and a residential and respite service for the children of Scotland. The young people we support are aged between 5 & 20 with a variety of complex disabilities. You would support them to live independently in our bright, fully adapted, residential & school campus based in the outskirts of Lanark.
About the role – Service Manager
As Service Manager you will have responsibility for managing the service so that our young people receive a quality, person-centred experience. You will lead our team, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing budgets and facilities, and drive service development. Key tasks include:
- Managing the referral process and ensuring service delivery meets protocols and customer needs.
- Overseeing staff recruitment, training, performance, rotas, and disciplinary processes.
- Budgetary and financial controls: reviewing accounts, authorising purchase orders, monitoring assets and expenditure.
- Ensuring the facility, transport provisions and service environment support safe and effective delivery.
- Ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are met (e.g., adult/child protection, Care Inspectorate annual returns).
- Promoting and developing the service, seeking new referrals, leading business development and risk assessments.
- Conducting investigations into concerns or complaints, and liaising with relevant authorities when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualification: SVQ 4 Health & Social Care (or equivalent) AND a relevant management qualification.
- Proven leadership experience in a care environment, with strong understanding of service delivery, staff management, budgets and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: you’ll engage with customers, families, social work and local authorities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and promote services, manage change and mitigate risk.
- Comfortable working across a variety of tasks (from operational/administrative to strategic) and dealing with both routine and complex issues.

You’ll support adults with complex disabilities in a homely care setting where independence and individuality are truly valued.
Our customers live in their own self-contained spaces—some alone, others with flatmates.
Our services are customer-led, based on their individual needs and planned outcomes, meaning we need to have staff & volunteers on hand with a variety of skills & availability to meet their needs.
Our customers enjoy many activities on site and in the wider community and our volunteers play an integral part in our customers’ wellbeing and social inclusion.

About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Team Leader who will support our Service Manager in managing our team. As an experienced social care practitioner, you will ensure that our people continue to receive exceptional, person-centred support we provide by being responsible for:
- Rota management

- Health and Safety
- Compiling and checking Care and Support plans for customers

About the Role
We’re currently looking for a Relief Rehabilitation Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated Acquired Brain Injury Service team in Dumfries.
In this role, you’ll take a person-centred approach to supporting people with an acquired brain injury, helping them to work toward their personal goals and maintain independence. Every day is different — you might be providing one-to-one support, helping someone participate in a community activity, or offering gentle encouragement as they rebuild skills and confidence.
The role includes some physical activity, such as providing support with mobility and pushing wheelchairs. The position is offered on a relief basis, and cover may be required between Monday and Thursday, 10am–4pm on an ad hoc basis. While our base is in Dumfries, a flexible approach to service delivery is essential, as some work may take place in different community settings.
About You
We’re looking for someone kind, motivated, and ready to make a difference in people’s lives. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Experience of working in a similar care or support environment
- A genuine interest in learning and personal development
- A care-related SVQ Level 3, or the willingness to gain this qualification within a set timeframe

The role – Support Worker, 35 hours per week & relief/bank (Children & Young People)
Stanmore House Residential acts as both a boarding element to Stanmore House School and a residential and respite service for the children of Scotland. The young people we support are aged between 5 & 20 with a variety of complex disabilities. You would support them to live independently in our bright, fully adapted campus based in the outskirts of Lanark.
Our 4 bungalows can host up to 16 young people in total. You will be supporting our customers on either one-to-one or group care; your day will include helping them with their personal care, dressing, medication, mobility, mealtimes, attending school & appointments and participating in their chosen recreational activities for that day.
Building Based: This is where our young people meet with peers on site and take part in planned, structured activities, developing their own independent key living skills.
Community Access: we support young people in accessing community activities, such as attending music, drama, or dance classes.
Respite: we provide respite to meet our young peoples needs we also use this as an opportunity to develop someone’s own key living skills.
We benefit from a great rural setting of lush, green countryside with extensive gardens on campus. We have a fantastic indoor pool for a splash about or some hydrotherapy, a rebound therapy room, sensory experiences and stories, an on-site cinema and beauty salon, and we love getting involved in our local community at Lanark, too.

Corseford College is seeking to appoint a team of student support workers who will provide care and support to students. The support you will provide is essential to ensuring our students can access their learning program.
The role of a Student Support Worker will vary, meaning no two days will be the same. From supporting the delivery of teaching, and learning as well as helping to support individuals with learning programmes and learning materials appropriate to the needs of the students.
Students at Corseford College will have a range of care and support needs. The needs of the students vary, some will be identified as having severe or profound multiple learning disabilities. They may also have physical and sensory impairments or a range of communication difficulties. Our students will have a range of support needs including in some cases requiring a high level of personal and intimate care needs which need to be met. This might include, administering medication, epilepsy management, gastrostomy feeding, moving and assisting and mealtime assistance. Full training and support will be provided to enable you to take on these roles.
Corseford College is Scotland’s first specialist college providing post-school education to this cohort. The college is aimed at Young People who have left or are leaving school with complex learning disabilities, aged 18-25. The college has been developed around the idea of enabling young people to continue to learn and engage in their education journey as they enter the adult world.
