Due to growth within the programme we are recruiting for a Property Maintenance Inspector to join our Property Services team. 

Our Property team is responsible for the management of a portfolio of over 500 properties varying in size throughout Glasgow and the team consists of general administration, maintenance workers, technicians and painters.

The Property  Maintenance Inspector will play a key role in our Property team, ensuring that the properties within our portfolio are maintained to a high standard and void turnaround time is minimised. The post holder will visit tenanted and void properties to carry out planned repairs and maintenance inspections, with a solution focused approach. This role will monitor contractor and in-house maintenance team performance and support efficiencies and service improvements

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

 

  • Ensure all Right There properties are a safe and functioning environment for our team and the people we support
  •  Complete risk assessments and onsite reports for void and repairs
  •  Use problem solving skills and innovation to identify and develop solutions for key and common issues.
  •  Proactively support and collaborate to ensure shared ownership for the delivery of our Property plan.
  •  Use mobile technology to drive standard process in work completion and updates.
  • Deliver on the PPM schedule 
  •  Comply with relevant Health & Safety legislation
  •  Report any health and safety concerns or incidents using the reporting mechanisms in place
  •  Use of internal Housing Management System to log all time, materials and consumables used in carrying out duties

We’re looking for someone that can demonstrate work experience in a maintenance, engineering or construction environment with a strong awareness of Health and Safety requirements. You will be pro-active, organised and customer-focused and you will ensure that works are delivered right first time to a high standard.

 

A full valid  driving license is an essential requirement.

 

What you can expect from us...

 

  • Your normal working hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
  • Your main place of work is Rosemount Business Park, Charles Street, Glasgow, G21 with regular travel to property locations
  • Annual leave entitlement of 210 hours (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata per year in the first year rising to 280 hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata per year in the second.
  • You will be automatically enrolled into the People’s Pension provided you meet the auto-enrolment criteria
