Job purpose

The Project Worker role exists to help people find stability, safety and a renewed sense of direction at a time when life may feel uncertain or overwhelming. This role is about more than providing support; it is about creating the space, consistency and belief people need to move forward with confidence and dignity. Through meaningful, person-centred relationships, Project Workers play a vital role in helping residents feel seen, heard and supported to take the next steps in their lives.

Working within supported accommodation, Project Workers help residents navigate practical and emotional challenges, build essential life skills and reconnect with opportunities that support longer-term independence and wellbeing. By placing choice, respect and collaboration at the centre of the work, the role ensures that people are actively involved in shaping their own goals and the support they receive, rather than having decisions made for them.

The impact of the Project Worker role reaches beyond individual residents. Project Workers are central to creating safe, inclusive and well-run services where people feel secure and able to engage. By responding thoughtfully to change, reducing risk and supporting early intervention, the role helps prevent crisis and contributes to more sustainable outcomes for individuals, services and the wider community.

Within the organisation, Project Workers are key to delivering high-quality services that reflect our values and ambition. Through strong teamwork, professional curiosity and a commitment to learning and improvement, the role strengthens how we work together and how we show up for the people who rely on our services.

At its core, the Project Worker role exists to make a meaningful difference - supporting people not just to manage day to day, but to move forward with purpose, confidence and hope.
