The role

St Richard’s Hospice is looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager – Microsoft Teams Implementation to lead an organisation-wide project to strengthen how we use Microsoft Teams and the wider Microsoft 365 environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing a secure, consistent and user-focused approach to collaboration across the organisation. You will lead the implementation of a Microsoft Teams governance framework, alongside best practice and training for Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Planner. This is a delivery-focused role, with responsibility for taking the project from planning and implementation through to user adoption and transition into business-as-usual support.

About the role

As Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of the Microsoft Teams governance and standardisation project, ensuring that agreed objectives, milestones and success criteria are achieved.

You will also lead the implementation of Microsoft Teams governance, lifecycle controls and adoption arrangements across St Richard’s Hospice. The postholder will manage the project, translate governance requirements into practical processes and coordinate technical implementation with IT and relevant suppliers.
 
You must have delivered a Microsoft Teams, SharePoint or wider Microsoft 365 governance or adoption project. General project management experience without relevant Microsoft 365 delivery experience will not, on its own, meet the requirements of this role.

Working closely with IT, Governance and colleagues across the organisation, you will develop and implement practical governance arrangements, controls, processes and standards that enable Teams to be used effectively, securely and consistently.

You will also lead the change and adoption activity required to ensure colleagues understand and are confident in the new ways of working and have the knowledge, guidance and support they need to make effective use of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Planner.

About you

We are looking for an experienced project manager who can combine strong project delivery skills with practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 and digital workplace environments.

You will have:

  • Proven experience delivering IT or digital workplace projects, ideally within Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Strong project management skills, understanding of its methodology and
    managed a project through discovery, planning, implementation, adoption and handover.
  • Experience implementing governance, controls or compliance frameworks.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Planner, including ownership, permissions, guest access, lifecycle management and archiving.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 capabilities and administration.
  • Experience developing governance processes, operating procedures and approval workflows.
  • Experience leading organisational change, workshops, communications and training.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across both business and technical teams.
  • Ability to translate technical and information-governance requirements into practical processes
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage change and support successful user adoption.
  • Experience managing risks, dependencies, scope changes and project reporting.
