The role
As a Multi-Site Retail Manager, you will manage the efficient shop operations of our new Superstore, ensuring the smooth functioning of a successful shop. The role will involve the responsibility of a large team, including the management of employees and volunteers.
You will have overall responsibility to achieve set income targets and maximising sales, the superstore will sell preloved clothing, accessories, books, homeware, furniture and small electricals.
You will manage the wider Wyre Forest area shop managers, including Bewdley, Stourport Clearance and Kidderminster.
This investment in our retail operation will help us generate the vital funds needed to continue our care, in a challenging time for hospices nationally.

About you
You will have significant charity retail experience with experience of leading and managing a large team in a retail environment.
You will have strong leadership skills and effective communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Experience of multi-site retail management would be desirable.
This is a unique, exciting opportunity to lead on the success of the first retail superstore for St Richard’s, whilst developing your retail and leadership qualities.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required to travel to our other Wyre Forest retail sites.

Our retail roles are full of variety and can range from using your creativity and flair in all aspects of merchandising the shop, to then, recruiting and training our wonderful team of shop volunteers.
You will assist in achieving set income targets and maximising sales, where you can make a real difference in contributing to the income generation for St Richard’s Hospice and raise the funds needed to provide care to patients and loved ones across Worcestershire.
The hospice currently has 19 shops throughout Worcestershire, which achieved a turnover of £3.5m last year through the sale of good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, books and furniture, donated by local people.

The role
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our hospice Integrated Community Service. This is a rare opportunity in an evolving service that provides high quality specialist palliative care to our patients and those important to them.
The post holder will be responsive and flexible, working collaboratively with other members of the hospice multi-disciplinary teams, to provide person centred care focussing on what matters most to patients and those important to them.
You will
- Provide specialist complex palliative nursing care in the last months, weeks and day of life to patients in the community.
- Work autonomously in the community providing specialist assessments of patients with complex needs.
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in patients’ homes and act as a team leader in the management of a complex caseload as directed by the Senior Clinical Nurse Specialists.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and prescribe appropriately if a non-medical prescriber.
- Lead on and support junior staff within the management of complex patients, supporting them to prioritise needs.
- To assist the Integrated Community Service Leads in evaluating and developing specialist palliative care services further.

- Attend GP Gold Standard Framework meetings.

The role
As we continue to evolve our services to meet the needs of our community, we are looking for three Senior Staff Nurses to join our Integrated Community Service.
The post holders will be responsive, flexible and able to provide high-quality person-centred specialist palliative care to patients and those important to them in the community, within the Hospice at Home team or the Advice and Guidance team.
If you do not have the essential experience as outlined in the role person specification but have a passion for providing specialist palliative care, then we will consider supporting a development role (please see alternate pay band above). You will:
- Provide specialist complex palliative nursing care in the last months, weeks and day of life to patients in the community.
- Complete the patient triage process either face to face or on the telephone
- Be flexible in your approach to assessing patients, completing this either in the hospice or in the patient’s home
- Complete assessments of patients referred to Integrated Community Service at any stage in their palliative diagnosis.
- Transfer patients care to other hospice services as appropriate when nursing interventions are no longer required, or additional MDT input is required to support the patient.
- Work independently during weekends and as part of a 7-day rota, including bank holidays.
- Lead and coordinate care planning, ensuring safe, effective, and personalised care.
- Delegate appropriately and support the work of Senior Healthcare Assistants (SHCAs)that work within the Hospice at Home team.
- Collaborate closely with the wider multi-disciplinary teams (MDT)that form the Integrated Community Services.
