We are looking for a Project Manager to join Ansvar in our Melbourne office. Competitive salary, excellent benefits and hybrid working.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Duration: Permanent
Location: Melbourne
Job Ref: 204906
Ansvar Australia, proudly part of the Benefact Group, are looking for a Project Manager (PM) to join our Melbourne office.
As a Project Manager you'll be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of business-critical projects across the business. You'll work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to deliver Material Change priorities aligned with Ansvar's business strategy and tangible business benefits.
This is a hands-on PM role in a specialist General Insurance business going through a genuine transformation. You will be working in a small team, reporting to the General Manager, Strategy and Change, and you'll bring structure and discipline to how we deliver change, while staying flexible enough to work alongside operational teams who have a business to run at the same time. You'll be someone who communicates with clarity and knows how to influence senior stakeholders through well-structured, credible reporting.
Why join us?
We are embracing significant organisational change and need innovative thinkers and change makers who want to shape the future, not just be part of it.
Your Voice Matters: Work directly with decision-makers who champion fresh ideas and where you can make a genuine impact.
Diverse Opportunities: As a nimble, dynamic organisation, you’ll gain exposure to challenging projects and cross-functional skills.
Meaningful Work: From our Community Education Programme to protecting heritage buildings and partnering with faith-based and community organisations, your work will make a tangible difference.
Be part of a collaborative, inclusive, ambitious culture committed to making a difference and working towards a more sustainable future. Ranked amongst Australia's Top 40 Best Workplaces to Give Back in 2024, we offer fantastic career and development opportunities, with all of our profits going to charity and good causes.

-
Oversee the successful planning, coordination, implementation and execution of an allocated portfolio of major projects, ensuring alignment with Ansvar's Change Portfolio Management methodology throughout.
-
Produce clear, well-structured project reporting for senior stakeholders including the Executive and Board, translating project complexity into concise updates that support informed decision-making.
-
Analyse business requirements against user needs, identify more efficient methods and processes on an ongoing basis, and assess project feasibility as required.
-
Support Project Sponsors, Business Owners and project team to deliver on project business cases, while maintaining appropriate project documentation and controls throughout project lifecycle.
What you'll need to have
-
At least 10 years' experience in a Project Management capacity, with advanced experience in all key aspects of Project Management (i.e. Project Planning and Scheduling, Business Case documentation, Resource Management, Change and Communication planning, monitoring Benefits Realisation). As part of your role, there will be periods where you will operate as a Business Analyst on smaller projects, working with the business to identify and document business requirements.
-
Demonstrable strength in stakeholder reporting and communication, with the ability to influence at senior levels through clear, well-reasoned written updates and executive reporting.
-
Strong experience in technology-related projects, including data warehousing solutions, with working knowledge of JIRA.
-
