Project Lead, Men in Mind - Primary Care | 12 Month Contract

Annual Salary: A$130,000 + 12% Super + Salary Packaging

Men are dying too young – and it doesn’t have to be that way.

Every project, every campaign, every idea adds up to real change. You’ll be part of a moustache-powered crew who believe making an impact and having fun should go hand in hand. Your mission is calling.

DO GOOD. Work for Movember.

Your Mo-Mission (should you choose to accept it):

Men in Mind is Movember's evidence-based health professional education program, built to give mental and behavioural health practitioners the tools to better engage, respond to, and retain men in care. MIM-PRO is its flagship expression: a federally funded initiative to scale gender-responsive healthcare training across the Australian primary care workforce.

As Project Lead, MIM-PRO, you'll be the operational engine of this program. You'll hold direct accountability for project-level deliverables, manage four regional leads embedded across VIC/TAS/ACT, QLD, SA/WA/NT, and NSW, and ensure that everything is tracking on time and in line with Australian Government funding requirements.

A central part of your role is coordinating the national PHN engagement strategy, supporting your regional leads to translate the national framework into active local partnerships with Primary Health Networks, professional bodies, universities, and healthcare organisations. You'll maintain oversight of the tiered PHN engagement model, consolidate engagement updates from across the regions, and feed implementation learnings back into an evolving and improving delivery approach.

Internally, you'll work closely with the National Program Manager and Director, Health Systems, as well as cross-functional teams across MEL, marketing, tech, and the Movember Institute, to keep delivery aligned, compliant, and continuously improving.

This is a role for someone who is genuinely energised by the complexity of multi-site program delivery, who leads teams with care and clarity, and who understands that getting the operational details right is what allows a program of this scale and ambition to actually change how healthcare works for men. Based in Melbourne with flexibility, 12-month fixed term contract.

No Moustache Required - but the following are:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management and complex program delivery, ideally within health, not-for-profit, or government-funded environments.

  • Experience managing and coordinating geographically distributed teams, with a strong track record of building team cohesion and driving accountability.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust and productive working relationships across diverse organisations and sectors.

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and meet competing deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, briefings, and project documentation for external audiences.

  • A solid understanding of the Australian primary care system, including the role of PHNs, professional bodies, and CPD frameworks.

  • Genuine commitment to Movember's mission and an understanding of men's health, gender-responsive care, or health professional education.

Not Mission Critical - but for extra street cred:

  • Experience working with federally funded programs and navigating government compliance and reporting requirements.

  • Familiarity with health professional training or workforce development programs.

  • Knowledge of the Men in Mind program or gender-responsive healthcare practice.

Boy, do we know the feeling of being judged. (Over how we look, and other things that shouldn’t matter.) Being different is how we started. And it’s also helped us raise $1 billion for men’s health. So, we know the power of diverse experiences, skills and perspectives.

And another impressive number is our WGEA gender pay gap: it sits at a big, fat, round 0%. If you’ve got the relevant skills and the right attitude, let nothing stand in your way of firing off your application.

Movember is stronger when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are part of our crew. We want you to feel supported in exploring opportunities with us. That’s why before applying, we invite you to yarn with Raymond Rosendale, Australian Indigenous Programs Manager, in a virtual catch-up to talk about the role, our community work, or just to share ideas.

Do you want to DO GOOD?
If so, we’d love to hear from you.
