Smart Care Technologies for Ageing in Place

Smart Care Technologies for Ageing in Place: Building UK-EU Partnerships for Dementia Innovation project is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Project Assistant to join a project to organise an international workshop develop a research proposal studying innovative interventions combining smart, multisensory technologies with environments to improve quality of life for people living with dementia and their informal carers.  You will also assist with the literature review and technology mapping scoping review aimed to develop a Horizon Europe grant proposal. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant interdisciplinary Research Group and learn valuable research skills. If successful, you will be playing a key supporting role to the development of the proposal:

Primary Duties

  • Liaise with project partners by emails or phone and SOCSI Research office.
  • Keep up-to-date records of all correspondence with project partners and stakeholders. 
  • Write up a literature review.

Qualifications and Education

  • A good general first degree or above, preferably in social sciences

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Evidence of working as part of a team, and /or as a research assistant e.g. CUROP, internship

Communication and Team Working

  • Proven communication skills with a diverse audience online and offline
  • Excellent organisational and team-working skills

Additional /desirable

  • Experience of working with people from a diverse background
  • Experience of organising focus group interviews in a personal or professional capacity
  • Commitment to active living
