The Felix Project and FareShare have recently merged to form the UK's largest food redistribution charity. Its vision is a UK where good food is never wasted, and nobody goes hungry.
The organisation rescues high quality edible surplus food, from across the food industry and gets it to over 8,000 organisations across the UK who are working to strengthen communities and improve lives.
The charity manages seven depots across London, Suffolk, Merseyside and Hampshire and works with 16 network partners who operate a further 26 regional depots across the UK.
Over the next year our ambition is to rescue enough food nationally to provide nearly 200 million meals, turning an environmental problem into social good with measurable impact for people, planet, and the economy.
Responsible for overseeing the development of our product while ensuring its technical feasibility and alignment with organisational goals. Through close collaboration with third party tech providers, product excellence is driven to ensure the platforms continue to meet the needs and challenges of the FSGo programme management team.
- Lead the relationship and governance with key stakeholders in third party tech providers, ensuring ways of working are effective and drive continuous improvements of the service
- Engage with and understand third party tech provider structure and processes to ensure continuous updated knowledge regarding current projects and product developments, to effectively contribute and collate feedback in a timely manner
- Influence both internal and external stakeholders on priority areas of development, based on evidence, to inform meaningful improvements
- Collaborate and coordinate key internal stakeholders on the product deployment plan to ensure that proposed changes to the platform are tested, understood and communicated appropriately
- Lead a range of internal ‘tech-facing’ projects, which will further enhance platform usage and experience through the delivery of continuous improvements and enhancements to meet the future requirements of the organisation
- Creation and maintenance of product documentation and training material regarding product features and usage
- Identify potential risks during development process and work proactively to address them
- Demonstrable delivery and understanding of technology and software development processes
- The ability to analyse data and market trends to make informed decisions
- Extensive experience and successful delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder projects, with an exceptional level of attention to detail
- Experience and confidence in holding senior stakeholders to account, managing upwards and sideways
- Experience of change management in a technology environment, being aware of implications for delivery and development teams
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of change management principles and techniques and agile methodologies
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate credibly with senior internal stakeholder and external partners and the ability to effectively convey complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders
