Job Description

The vision of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra is to be a world class orchestra that nurtures exceptional music making for all.

The SCO is seeking an exceptional candidate to fill the position of Principal Second Violin. As a permanent Performing Member of the SCO, the successful applicant will be an outstanding violinist and section leader, and an integral member of the wider ensemble.

There will be two rounds of auditions. The first round will be an open call for (anonymous) digital submissions. The second round will be a live audition, to be held in Edinburgh in late summer 2026 (dates tbc).
