Academic Posting
You will work with data collection on and analysis of exposure to, and the effects of, extreme climate events in the mid-latitudes. The work will cover various categories of events, such as heatwaves, cold spells, storms, and droughts. The aim is to link the physical events with exposure and impacts in a harmonized database. Teaching/supervising duties up to 20% are possible on a voluntary basis. You will be based at the Dept. of Earth Sciences in Uppsala, but will be expected to travel both nationally and internationally.
You will be based in a lively research group which focuses on the dynamics and impacts of extreme climate events. We currently host several nationally funded and H2020/Horizon Europe projects. More information on our ongoing research can be found at https://gmessori.eu/.
