Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with Enable is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.

Stravaig provides emergency homeless accommodation for young people aged 16 to 25. We have 9 rooms at the service and each person we support has their own en-suite room, and has access to a communal lounge, dining room, games room and laundry facilities. All meals are provided, and we can cater for any dietary requirements and preferences. The purpose of Stravaig is to provide a safe, nurturing and stable environment and to work in partnership with the people we support to achieve positive outcomes. As we are an emergency accommodation the length of stay is typically 12 weeks, this is the period for stabilisation and preparing the people we support for independent living. The Stravaig project are looking for a compassionate personal assistant who can think on their feet and are able to help to make a real difference to people we support.

Let us introduce you to Robert:

Robert has been homeless for 3 years, he has been in many different accommodations over the years and has struggled to settle. Robert enjoys cooking and going camping with his friends. Staff engage with Robert daily and support him with cooking lessons and attending the local gym. Robert feels he has settled in at Stravaig and he is now developing his living skills with the intention of moving in to his own home.

That is why Robert needs you! Will you bring your best so that Robert can live his best life?
