Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with Enable is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.

Mitre House is a care home which provides 24-hour support to 5 adults with learning disabilities in a comfortable, relaxing environment. We provide support in all aspects of their lives, while promoting choice and independence. We support people to live life to the fullest.

Let us introduce you to Caroline:

Caroline resides in the Mitre House Project with 4 other people. Caroline has a learning disability, and physical conditions which affects her health.

Caroline enjoys indoor and outdoor activities, she is a social person and loves being in company, attending clubs in her community with her friends and being involved in day-to-day life within her home. She especially enjoys visits from her sisters and spending time with the people around her. She also has a very mischievous personality and a great dark sense of humour that keeps everyone smiling.

This role would suit someone who is patient, attentive, caring and committed to providing person-centred support that helps Caroline live a happy and fulfilling life

Sadly, it’s not always possible for Caroline to enjoy what many people would consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.

That is why Caroline needs you! Will you bring your best so that Caroline can live her best life?
