JOB DESCRIPTION
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 42 year old gentleman with a good sense of humour living in the Tonypandy area. I have Angelman Syndrome which is a genetic disorder that affects the nervous system. I will need full support and to be supervised when we are out, i can walk unassisted but for only short distances.
In our time together I would like to go for a ride to the local Park or maybe the beach, I like animals so maybe somewhere where I can see animals. I also like Trains so would like to go to the Train station and take a short ride.
I have limited to no functional speech but can answer yes and no. I will always tell you what I want via hand movements and the longer we get to know each other the more we will understand each other. I don’t like being confronted or forced to do anything that I don’t want to do though.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Main reason for the position, support at home, out in the community.
RATE(S) OF PAY
- £15.00 per hour.
- Mileage available.
HOURS OF WORK
- 10 hours per week.
- 2 days worked flexible to suit.
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
- Social outings, community activities
- Any other reasonable tasks

ABOUT THE JOB
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
