People Advisor

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £29,003 - £31,214 (salary dependent on skills, experience and knowledge)

Contract: Permanent

Base: Osney Mead, Oxford / Hybrid Working with WFH options

The People Advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the organisation's human resources functions, ensuring that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented. This position impacts all employees by fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting managers in people-related matters. The People Advisor contributes to the overall success of the organisation by promoting employee engagement, development, and well-being.

  • Working towards a level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Understanding payroll processes and benefits administration
  • Proven experience in an administrative or recruitment role within an HR department.
  • Exposure to data analytics and HRIS
  • Experience in providing advice on HR, employee relations and recruitment related matters to managers and staff.
  • Exposure to recruitment processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a solution-focused approach
  • Understands and believes in our values and approach
