Patient Driver Volunteer

Could you help make sure patients, families and bereaved people can access the support they need?
We’re looking for Patient Driver Volunteers to provide safe, reliable and compassionate transport to and from Longfield Community Hospice for appointments and activities at our Living Well Centre.
You’ll help make a real difference by offering a friendly welcome, a safe journey and reassurance to people who may be living with a life-limiting illness, supporting them to attend sessions and stay connected with our services.
Working closely with the Living Well Centre team, you’ll collect and transport patients, family members and bereaved people while ensuring every journey is carried out with care, dignity and empathy. You’ll need a full clean driving licence, a safe driving style and a willingness to support people during what may be an important and sometimes difficult time.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, is a good listener and can provide a calm and supportive presence. Full training, guidance and ongoing support are provided, and no previous hospice experience is needed.
