JOB TITLE: Partnerships Officer
RESPONSIBLE TO: Fundraising and Events Manager
HOURS: 35 hours a week
SALARY: £30,000 - £33,000
LOCATION: Three days from our Teddington Office and two days at home

The Opportunity
Are you passionate about building relationships that make a real difference? As our Partnerships Officer, you'll help grow one of the DSA's most exciting areas of fundraising. This role is centred on developing meaningful partnerships with businesses while also supporting community fundraising across the UK. You'll have the opportunity to spot new opportunities, develop creative ideas and build long-term relationships that generate income, raise awareness and inspire support for our mission. What You'll Be Doing
Growing Partnerships
Build, manage and grow a portfolio of corporate partners through excellent stewardship and relationship management.
• Identify, research and secure new partnership opportunities aligned with the DSA's mission and values.
Develop tailored proposals covering sponsorship, Charity of the Year partnerships, employee fundraising, payroll giving, volunteering and other collaborative opportunities.
• Represent the DSA at meetings, networking events and presentations.
Work closely with colleagues to maximise sponsorship and partnership opportunities across fundraising campaigns and events.
• Identify opportunities to increase long-term income and supporter engagement.
Supporting Community Fundraising
Support and inspire community fundraisers, schools, local groups and volunteers.
• Provide fundraising resources, guidance and excellent supporter care.
• Attend fundraising events and represent the DSA where appropriate.
• Help identify opportunities to grow community fundraising and supporter engagement.
Stewardship and Team Support
Deliver an outstanding supporter experience from first enquiry through to long-term partnership.
• Maintain accurate records using Salesforce CRM.
• Monitor progress against agreed objectives and income targets.
Work collaboratively across the Fundraising team to deliver successful campaigns and events.
Occasionally work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends, to support fundraising events, meetings and partnership activity.
Undertake other duties appropriate to the role that support the aims of the Down's Syndrome Association.
About You
You have experience in fundraising, partnerships, account management, business development or another relationship-focused role.
• You enjoy building relationships and are confident communicating with a wide range of people.
• You are organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
You are a confident writer and presenter, able to create compelling proposals and communications.
• You are motivated by achieving targets and finding new opportunities.
• You work well independently while thriving as part of a collaborative team.
• You have good IT skills; experience of Salesforce or another CRM system is desirable.
