JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Corporate and Community Fundraiser RESPONSIBLE TO: Fundraising and Events Manager HOURS: 35 hours a week SALARY: 30k-34k (dependant on experience) LOCATION: 3 days from our Teddington Office and 2 days at home About the Down’s Syndrome Association The Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) is the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people with Down’s syndrome and their families throughout life. We provide information, advocacy, and practical support, and work to improve awareness, inclusion, and understanding across society. Fundraising is vital to ensuring we can continue and grow this work, and partnerships play a key role in helping us achieve our ambitions. About the Role We are seeking an organised, proactive, and relationship-driven Corporate and Community Partnerships Officer to join our Fundraising team. The role will focus primarily on developing and managing corporate partnerships, including sponsorship, employee fundraising, and wider business engagement. Alongside this, the postholder will support the growth of community fundraising initiatives, helping to strengthen grassroots support and local engagement. The role will contribute to the delivery of a combined corporate and community fundraising strategy, with a strong emphasis on partnership development, supporter stewardship, and income growth. The successful candidate will be part of the Fundraising team with specific responsibility of development of Corporate and Community supporters. We are hoping to recruit as soon as possible. Contact Georgina Lamond to discuss the position and to apply with a CV, email: georgina.lamond@downs-syndrome.org.uk Closing date for applications: 16/01/2026 Interview Date: Week commencing 19/01/2026 Main Responsibilities Strategic • Support the development and delivery of a corporate-led fundraising strategy that incorporates community fundraising activity. • Develop a strong understanding of DSA’s services, campaigns, and priorities to identify compelling partnership opportunities. • Contribute to income forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting against agreed targets. Corporate Partnerships • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing corporate partners, ensuring excellent stewardship and long-term relationship development. • Identify, research, and approach new corporate prospects aligned with DSA’s values, brand, and objectives. • Develop partnership opportunities including sponsorship, employee fundraising, payroll giving, and cause-related marketing. • Work closely with the Fundraising and Communications teams to maximise corporate sponsorship and engagement opportunities across campaigns and events. • Prepare and deliver partnership proposals and presentations, both written and verbal. • Represent DSA at meetings, presentations, and networking events as required. • Raise awareness of DSA through corporate engagement and partnership activity. Community Fundraising • Support the development of community fundraising initiatives, including local events, peer-to- peer fundraising, and volunteer-led activity. • Build and maintain positive relationships with community supporters, volunteers, and local groups. • Provide guidance, resources, and encouragement to community fundraisers to help maximise their fundraising efforts. • Attend and support community fundraising events as required, including occasional evenings or weekends. Operations and Team Support • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter and partnership records on Salesforce. • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Fundraising team during peak periods, including Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week. • Support and supervise volunteers as required. • Undertake other duties appropriate to the role to support the aims of the Down’s Syndrome Association. • The role will occasionally require working outside of normal office hours, including some evenings or weekends, to support events, meetings, or key fundraising activity. Person specification Qualifications A level or equivalent qualification. Experience Essential • At least two years’ experience in fundraising, with a strong preference for corporate fundraising experience. • Proven experience of managing relationships and delivering income. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and presentations. • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. • A professional, proactive, and positive approach, with the ability to adapt to change. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team. • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Desirable • Experience of supporting or delivering community fundraising activity. • Experience of using a CRM system, ideally Salesforce. • Understanding of charity sector fundraising and compliance. • Experience of motivating and inspiring supporters, volunteers, or corporate contacts. • Ability to analyse information and identify new opportunities for income growth.
