    Are you a skilled and experienced Maintenance Operative who would like to use their skills to support our Retail estate of 24 shops in providing a safe working and shopping environment?

    If so, we are currently looking for a Part Time Retail Maintenance Officer to join our Retail team to carry out a variety of routine maintenance tasks across our retail estate, including managing contractor relationships for specialised work.

    Our successful applicant will have a strong all-round knowledge of general maintenance including plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs. They will ensure compliance with current legislation to keep our shops safe, functional, and presentable whilst enhancing the customer and employee experience. They will manage these tasks whilst maintaining efficiency through travelling between multiple locations in order to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventative maintenance and compliance checks.

    To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated, able to demonstrate customer care awareness and have the ability to reflect a professional image of the team and the Charity with both internal and external customers. Due to the nature of this role a sound knowledge of health and safety in relation to maintenance is required along with an awareness of control measures and the ability to apply and maintain them. Our successful applicant will work closely with Woodgreen's Retail Operations team who design scheduling based on prioritising workloads and risk. Communication through a maintenance and compliance CRM system is also required on a daily basis. This role will be physically demanding due to the nature of the position.

    This is a part time permanent position working 22.5 hours per week between Monday and Friday. A flexible approach to working hours is required as upon occasion, in the event of a maintenance emergency, you may be required to work on a weekend or bank holiday. Should this occur a rota'd day off in the week will be provided. This role will be based from our Godmanchester site and full use of a vehicle is provided. A full UK driving licence is therefore essential.

    The starting salary for this position will be £27,300 - £29,426 pro rata per annum. This will be complemented by;

    • Pro rata'd equivalent of 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days after five years
