Part Time Personal Assistant Required

Disabled young man in Joppa looking for Personal Assistant (PA) to help him get out and about. The PA will support the young man to go swimming, go to the beach, take buses, go for pub lunch and go to other activities, including helping him to find other things to do. There will also be some personal care tasks and the postholder will need to push manual wheelchair.

It would be helpful if the postholder have experience of working in care, but this is not essential as full training will be given. You must be a member of the PVG scheme or willing to join. Employer will cover this cost.

Rate of pay is £13.65 per hour.

The post is for 16 hours per week consisting of four four-hour shifts in the afternoon. The employer is willing to be flexible about days, although one shift has to be on a Saturday and the other three during the week. The employer can be a bit flexible with the start time of the shift, with it starting around 1pm.
