Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and service. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in the culinary and hospitality sectors.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Support chefs during service by ensuring that all necessary utensils and equipment are readily available.
- Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation to maintain freshness.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
- Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts, ensuring a tidy workspace for the following day.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential.
