Parish Communications Enabler
We are recruiting a Parish Communications Enabler to play a key role in strengthening how churches across the diocese communicate their faith, mission and community life.
This is a strategic enabling role focused on building long-term communications capacity across our churches. You will equip clergy, wardens and volunteers with the skills, confidence and tools to communicate clearly, consistently and creatively in their local contexts.
You will work closely with parishes to understand their needs and challenges, using this insight to shape practical resources, training and shared approaches that can be adopted and sustained over time. This will lead to more confident communication, greater consistency, and stronger engagement with local communities.
Alongside this, you will influence how communications is developed at a diocesan level, advising on priorities and helping to ensure that parish insight informs wider strategy. You will also support the identification and sharing of stories of ministry, growth and transformation, strengthening culture and connection across the diocese.
This is a relational, outward-facing role with real scope to shape how we support mission through communication. If you enjoy working alongside others and enabling people to share the hope of the Christian faith, we would love to hear from you.
This is a hybrid role, including two days per week on average based at Church House, Derby.
