Our Vacancy

We are looking for a PA to CEO to provide personalised and high level administrative support to Curve’s Chief Executive. This will include supporting governance, diary and workload management, travel planning, minuting of meetings, as well as being the first point of contact for both internal and external queries coming into the Chief Executive’s office.

Alongside this, the role has primary responsibility for a number of essential functions, including the management of Curve’s press nights and other VIP events and collating all customer feedback, ensuring responses are sent in a timely manner.

This is a great opportunity for anyone with previous demonstrable experience of providing personal assistance to a CEO or Director to work in a busy, successful, creative organisation. No two days are the same, so the successful applicant will need to be flexible, adaptable and thrive in what can be a high pressure environment. The ability to build good relationships internally and with external stakeholders is paramount.

The successful applicant will have an active interest in the theatre industry. Your skillset will include a high level of computer literacy, excellent attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You will be a quick-thinker, capable of working autonomously, juggling numerous projects and deadlines and using your initiative to solve complex problems—all whilst keeping a level head.

To find out more about this role, please download the Job Description & Person Specification (JDPS) document at the bottom of this page. If you are curious about whether this role might be for you and would like to know more, please contact careers@curvetheatre.co.uk to arrange an informal chat.

If you feel you have the skills suitable for this role, please click 'Apply Now' to submit your CV along with a covering letter setting out why you are suitable for the role and why you want to work at Curve (no more than one A4 page).

Closing date for applications: midnight, 25 May 2026 Interviews: Tuesday 2 June 2026

We do reserve the right to close this advertisement early if we receive a sufficient number of suitable applications.

We are an inclusive organisation, from our trustees and team members to our audience and participants. We treat all job applicants equally, regardless of class, age, disability, gender identity or gender expression, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation or any other equality characteristic. We particularly encourage applications from individuals who are underrepresented in the cultural sector.

Our Theatre

Curve is a spectacular state-of-the-art theatre based in the heart of Leicester’s vibrant Cultural Quarter, creating compelling cultural experiences for all those who live, learn, visit and work in the city.

Over 800,000 people a year engage with Curve through performances and projects at our home in Leicester, across the UK and internationally. Under the leadership of Chief Executive Chris Stafford and Artistic Director Nikolai Foster, Curve has developed a reputation for producing, programming and touring a bold and diverse programme of musicals, plays, new work, dance and opera. All of this is presented alongside a dynamic mix of community engagement, artist development and learning programmes, which firmly places audiences, artists and communities at the heart of everything we do.

We are a registered charity and this supports our work with people of all ages and backgrounds, enabling them to access, participate in and learn from the arts, nurturing new and emerging talent and creating outstanding, award-winning theatrical experiences.

At Curve we value equality and diversity and recognise that there is a difference between them. We are committed to creating an environment of positive working relationships. We believe every employee, worker, and visitor to Curve has the right to be treated with equality, dignity and respect. We have a number of policies and training programmes in place that must be observed by everyone at Curve.

Opened in 2008 by Her Majesty The Queen, our award-winning building, designed by acclaimed architect Rafael Viñoly, offers a completely unique visitor experience.

Unlike any other theatre in the UK, we have no traditional backstage area. Audiences can enjoy the full theatre making process, peek behind the scenes and maybe even spot an actor or two dashing from the stage to their dressing room or enjoying a coffee in our Café. Our curved façade is made from 1,192 tonnes of steel and 46000m² of glass.
