Employment Type: 0.8 FTE (29.6 hours per week)
Salary: £23,564 with annual incremental rises (grade B)
About NUSU:
Newcastle University Students' Union (NUSU) is a student-led charity comitted to enhancing university life, supporting wellbeing and championing the student voice. Working closely with Newcastle University, we provide a range of services, spaces and opportunities that enrich the student experience.
The Opportunities Team helps students connect, participate and thrive through student-led activities and volunteering. We build communities and create opportunities that enable students to develop their skills, unlock their potential and make the most of university life.
Summary of the role:
The role will support the development of inclusive and welcoming student communities by supporting student leaders and groups to remove barriers to participation and embed inclusive practices. Supported by the wider opportunities team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in empowering social secretaries to create and showcase the difference student groups can make through fundraising and volunteering.
Each year the role will broaden access to student opportunities through the delivery of the Activities Access Fund, helping more students overcome barriers to participation.
