About CAN – Why work for us?

In every community, people are supported by strong local charities and groups that make a real difference to everyday lives. When these organisations are well supported and well connected, communities are healthier, fairer and more resilient.

CAN exists to make that happen.

When you work with CAN, you are strengthening hundreds of local charities, empowering thousands of volunteers and supporting joined up local action that improves outcomes for people, communities and the system as a whole.

Stronger charities. Healthier communities. Better lives.

At CAN, we strengthen and champion local charities, community groups and volunteers so they can make a bigger difference in people’s lives. We’re looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Office Administration Coordinator to help keep our organisation running smoothly and effectively.

This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of CAN, combining office management, communications, event coordination and facilities support. You’ll be the welcoming face of the organisation and play a key role in supporting our team to deliver impact across communities.

We’re flexible on the number of hours and can consider both part-time and full-time applications. However, the successful candidate must be able to work from our Poole office at least three days per week Tuesday to Thursday inclusive.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong administration and organisational skills
  • Is confident managing multiple priorities
  • Enjoys working with people and creating a positive experience for colleagues, volunteers and visitors
  • Has excellent communication and IT skills
  • Shares our values of collaboration, compassion, integrity and respect

If you’re looking for a role where your skills will directly support stronger communities and better lives, we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we CAN make a difference.

We offer a competitive salary and great benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday (pro-rata) plus all bank holidays, Care First confidential wellbeing support, season train ticket loan or parking permit and much more.
