£12.5k per year + expenses | ~4 days/month | Home-based (SW travel)

We’re looking for an experienced, collaborative leader to Chair the Board of SWWFL.
This is a meaningful leadership role at the heart of a partnership between Wildlife Trusts across the extended South West.
You’ll work closely with the CEO, support strong governance, and help shape strategy, relationships, and long-term impact for conservation fundraising.
You’ll also act as a Company Director, sharing responsibility for the stewardship and success of the organisation.
What we’re looking for:
- Board-level experience and confidence chairing discussions
- Strategic thinking and sound judgement
- Financial and governance awareness
- Strong relationship-building skills
- A genuine connection to conservation and nature
Key details:
- 3-year term, appointed by the Board
- ~4 days per month
- Remunerated role (non-employment basis)
- Requires appropriate self-employed status or equivalent
- Works within SWWFL’s Director governance framework
