£12.5k per year + expenses | ~4 days/month | Home-based (SW travel)

We’re looking for an experienced, collaborative leader to Chair the Board of SWWFL.

This is a meaningful leadership role at the heart of a partnership between Wildlife Trusts across the extended South West.

You’ll work closely with the CEO, support strong governance, and help shape strategy, relationships, and long-term impact for conservation fundraising.

You’ll also act as a Company Director, sharing responsibility for the stewardship and success of the organisation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Board-level experience and confidence chairing discussions
  • Strategic thinking and sound judgement
  • Financial and governance awareness
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • A genuine connection to conservation and nature

Key details:

  • 3-year term, appointed by the Board
  • ~4 days per month
  • Remunerated role (non-employment basis)
  • Requires appropriate self-employed status or equivalent
  • Works within SWWFL’s Director governance framework
