Job Summary:

Working with the NCAN team and alongside our steering group partners, the Campaigns Lead will help to develop and implement our key campaigns aimed at the promotion of the NCAN and our objective to address inequality and its impacts in the UK, including leading on the development of the Anti-Poverty Alliance, a recently-formed network of stakeholders highlighting and addressing some of the main drivers of Poverty across Norfolk.

This role would suit a skilled campaigner/strategic thinker who can turn insight into action. You will have experience of building partnerships and maintaining relationships across multiple-sectors and must be comfortable working independently with some level of autonomy over your day-to-day duties.

Responsibilities

Support the development and delivery of NCAN campaigns, including working with the NCAN Director and Steering Group partners to proactively identify key opportunities for public-facing campaigns.

Utilising data from the NCAN Referral System / Steering Group, identify relevant trends and insights and develop campaigns that advocate for the advice sector and our clients.

Take a lead role in the development of the Norfolk Anti-Poverty Alliance, including developing the alliance’s annual priorities, in conjunction with stakeholders, in addition to establishing future workstreams and campaign priorities.

Create compelling campaign content - including e-mails, social media posts, web copy and briefings - that is creative and accessible, to maximise engagement with NCAN’s work.

Promote and support the development of new opportunities to involve people with lived experience in our campaigning work.

Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and represent NCAN externally as and when required.

Ensure through training, reading and other methods that you keep up to date with the latest campaigning processes and innovative practices.

General duties

Identify learning and development needs in conjunction with your line manager; display a willingness to develop knowledge, and skills and undertake appropriate training in line with learning and development plans.

Attend and contribute to support and supervision, and appraisal meetings with the line manager to further own development.

To abide by the Equal Opportunities policy and to implement any relevant practice guidelines.

To adhere to hybrid model of home working and office working agreeing to attend the office at the required hours.

To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as per the requirements of the Board.

Occasionally deputise for the Director at meeting and stakeholder events as required

To attend such training as is required by the NCAN Director

Some travel in and beyond Norfolk

Occasional evening and weekend work
