Mobilisation Manager

Join Avalon at an exciting time of growth and transformation

Avalon is a growing, values-led charity supporting people with learning disabilities, autistic people, and individuals with complex needs to live their best lives.

As we continue to grow across Yorkshire and neighbouring areas, we are looking for an experienced, driven, and operationally strong Mobilisation Manager to help lead the safe and successful implementation of new services, transitions, and strategic growth projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious organisation at a really exciting time — helping shape new services, strengthen partnerships, and ensure people experience safe, high-quality, person-centred support from day one.

About the Role

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Mobilisation Manager will play a key role in ensuring new services are mobilised safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

You’ll work closely with operational teams, commissioners, housing providers, HR, recruitment, quality, and finance colleagues to coordinate all aspects of service mobilisation and operational readiness.

This is a fast-paced and highly varied role requiring someone who can confidently manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining strong governance, organisation, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities will include:
• Leading mobilisation projects from contract award through to operational handover
• Developing mobilisation plans, timelines, risk registers, and action trackers
• Supporting recruitment, workforce readiness, onboarding, and TUPE activity
• Ensuring services are operationally and CQC-ready from day one
• Coordinating cross-functional workstreams across operational and corporate teams
• Supporting digital implementation and operational transformation projects
• Building strong relationships with commissioners, families, housing providers, and stakeholders
• Supporting post-go-live stabilisation and continuous improvement activity

About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
• Strong operational management experience within social care
• Experience leading service mobilisations, projects, or operational transitions
• Excellent organisational and coordination skills
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance pace, quality, and sustainability
• A strong understanding of safeguarding, governance, and CQC expectations
• The ability to work calmly and effectively within fast-paced, complex environments
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Most importantly, we want someone who shares Avalon’s values and is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support.

Why Join Avalon?

At Avalon, people matter.

We are proud to be a values-led charity with ambitious plans for growth, innovation, and continuous improvement whilst remaining rooted in our communities and committed to doing the right thing.
