Salary: £27,122 per annum
Hours: 40 per week

The role:
We currently operate six leisure centres and attractions across this historic waterfront city in partnership with Portsmouth City Council. Sharing the ambition to encourage ‘a more active city’ we provide hundreds of activities for all ages and abilities to inspire greater participation in physical activity.
Centres include Pyramids in Southsea, Exploria, a supersized indoor soft play and bounce centre, and Mountbatten, the city’s flagship leisure and sports centre. A dedicated Tennis and Gymnastics Centre encourage grassroots participation and club-level athletes. A 50m swimming pool, athletics track, and velodrome provide a platform for sports clubs to train and compete.
You will carry out routine repairs and maintenance including maintaining water quality in accordance with current guidance.
You will:
- Provide maintenance support across our BH Live Active sites in Portsmouth
- Carry our routine repairs and maintenance work and respond to faults
- Carry out inspection checks across our Portsmouth sites
- Help diagnose issues and have a solution focused attitude
- Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements
- Participate in emergency call outs/alarm responses.
To be successful you will need:
- A full driving licence
- To be competent at basic building repairs and maintenance
- Working knowledge of basic carpentry, basic electric, basic plumbing and furniture repair
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
- To be a team player with a positive attitude
It would be desirable for you have a pool plant operators certificate but this is not essential.
